The KDE4 spans the standard 19-inch EIA rack width and extends 15.47 inches deep, giving you enough platform for AV receivers, UPS units, cable managers, or similarly sized equipment. At 85 lbs rated capacity, these ears handle most real-world rack loads without flexing. The black powder coat finish matches standard rack aesthetics and resists the minor abrasion that comes with repeated installs and reconfigs in rack enclosure deployments.
Compatibility
These ears are designed specifically for Middle Atlantic's KD (Knock-Down) rackshelf system — pair them with the matching KD bottom shelf panel to build out a full 4 RU utility shelf. The 19-inch width and standard EIA hole pattern make them physically compatible with any two-post or four-post open-frame rack and most enclosed Middle Atlantic rack cabinets and enclosures. Two mounting points per ear secure the shelf to the rack rail. Confirm your existing KD shelf panel is the 15½-inch-depth variant before ordering — depth must match across components.
