Overview
The ATEN UEH4102 is a 4-port USB 2.0 extender that pushes USB device connectivity over standard CAT5/CAT6 Ethernet cabling — letting you place USB peripherals (scanners, input devices, storage) away from the host system without running new cable drops. If you have a rack-mounted server or workstation that needs USB devices positioned across a room or at a separate workstation, the UEH4102 solves that problem by riding your existing LAN infrastructure. Compatibility
Designed to work with the UEH4102R remote unit — the extender requires the paired receiver to complete the connection. Connects up to 4 USB 2.0 devices simultaneously: compatible with USB 2.0 High Speed (480 Mbps), Full Speed (12 Mbps), and Low Speed (1.5 Mbps) device classes. Operates over 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet infrastructure; ATEN recommends 1000BASE-T for best throughput and latency performance. Installation Notes
