ATEN KG0032 32-Port KVM Over IP Omnibus Gateway

Overview

The KG0032 is a 32-port KVM over IP omnibus gateway designed to consolidate remote and direct server access into a single managed interface. It supports up to 32 remote sessions and 32 direct connections simultaneously, making it a fit for data center environments where technicians need both local console access and remote IP-based management without toggling between separate KVM switches. Port selection is handled entirely through a GUI — no mechanical rotary dial or DIP switches — which reduces misconfiguration risk in high-density racks. The KG0032 also includes two 3-pin relay ports reserved for future expansion, giving installations room to grow without hardware replacement.

Compatibility

The KG0032 is designed for deployment within ATEN's KG (KVM over IP gateway) product family. Fiber or copper SFP modules are required for network uplink and are sold separately — compatible SFP modules must be ordered alongside the KG0032. Consult ATEN's compatible accessories list to identify the correct SFP options for your cabling infrastructure before ordering. Keyboard and mouse connectivity is USB, so connected servers must support USB HID input. The 128×64 LCD display and three-button local select interface (Up, Down, Enter) allow in-rack port navigation without a remote session.

Installation Notes

Input power is universal: 100–240V AC, up to 2.5A at 50–60Hz, so no step-down transformer is needed in international deployments. Two rocker switches handle power control. Humidity tolerance is 10–80% RH non-condensing — standard for enclosed data center environments but not suitable for open industrial or outdoor spaces without additional enclosure. Firmware is field-upgradeable; current release is v1.0.091 (2025-09-02), available as kg0016-kg0032-v1.0.091.zip from ATEN's support portal. Note that SFP modules are not included and must be sourced separately — failing to order compatible modules at the same time will delay commissioning.
