Description

Middle Atlantic UFAF-2 2RU Blank Faceplate Panel

Overview

The Middle Atlantic UFAF-2 is a 2-rack-unit blank faceplate panel designed for the UFA Series small-device mounting shelf system. At 0.75 in deep, it fills open 2RU slots in your rack without adding meaningful depth — useful when you need to close off unused bay space in a rack enclosure, block airflow gaps, or maintain a clean front-face appearance on a partially populated shelf assembly. The UFAF-2 ships as a single panel with two mounting points for secure attachment to the UFA Series frame.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic UFA Series BPC (Blank Panel Component) system. The panel is 19 in wide and 3.5 in tall (2 RU), matching standard 19-inch rack rail spacing used across Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and open-frame racks that follow EIA-310 rail geometry. It mounts as a vertical inside component — meaning it seats within the rack frame rather than overlapping the front rails. Verify your UFA Series shelf or enclosure accepts vertical inside faceplate components before ordering; not all Middle Atlantic rack products use the UFA faceplate mounting system. For adjacent rack accessories such as cable management panels or PDU mounting options, confirm the same 2RU opening is available in your layout.

Installation Notes

Two mounting points secure the panel to the UFA Series frame — no additional hardware listed in package contents beyond the panel itself. The black powder coat finish is standard across the Middle Atlantic product line; if your enclosure uses a different finish variant, confirm color match before installing in a customer-facing rack. At 1.1 lbs shipping weight, handling and installation require no special tooling. Depth of 0.75 in means the panel sits well within typical rack door clearances, but verify front-door-to-rail depth on shallow wall-mount enclosures.
