Overview

The Middle Atlantic DWR-24-32 is a 24RU sectional wall rack designed for deployments where floor space is unavailable or restricted — telecom closets, server alcoves, and AV/security head-end rooms where a full floor-standing enclosure isn't practical. The DWR-24-32 delivers 42 inches (24 RU) of usable rack height and 30 inches of usable depth, enough to house edge network video recorders, PoE switches, patch panels, and associated power distribution in a single wall-mounted footprint. UL-rated load capacity of 300 lbs means you can fully populate the rack without structural concerns on a properly anchored wall. The rack ships at 121.5 lbs — plan for two-person installation. Steel construction with a black wrinkle powder coat finish resists scratching during cable management and equipment changes. TAA compliant and USA-made, qualifying for federal and government procurement programs where country-of-origin requirements apply. Seismic rating (per UL Patent Number 7278183) makes this a viable choice for California Title 24 and other seismic-zone installations.

Compatibility

The DWR-24-32 accommodates any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack-mount equipment up to 30 inches deep. The forward rackrail configuration is forward-compatible with Middle Atlantic's sectional wall rack accessory line — side panels, vented tops, rear rackrails, and blanking panels from the DWR series integrate directly. With 30 inches of usable depth, the rack comfortably houses 1U and 2U NVRs, managed PoE switches, and 1U UPS units common in mid-size security and AV installations. Units requiring rear rackrail support will need that accessory added separately — the base DWR-24-32 ships with forward rails only. For shallower equipment environments (under 20 inches deep), consider a narrower-depth DWR variant to recover wall clearance.
