The Middle Atlantic DWR-24-22 is a 24-rack-unit sectional wall rack engineered for installations where floor space is not available but equipment density is non-negotiable. The DWR-24-22 provides 20 inches of usable depth — enough to accommodate full-depth servers, NVRs, and AV distribution equipment — while mounting flush to the wall. At 42 inches of usable height across 24U, this rack handles real loads: UL-rated to 300 lbs (136.1 kg), with the structure to back it up. Finished in black wrinkle powder coat over heavy-gauge steel, it is built to stay in place in demanding network video recorder and AV distribution closets alike. Seismic-rated per UL 7278183, making it appropriate for installations in seismic zones where wall-mounted equipment must meet structural compliance. TAA compliant and manufactured in the USA — relevant for government, federal, and education deployments with domestic sourcing requirements. The forward rackrail design positions equipment toward the front of the enclosure, preserving rear cable management access. No front door is included; factor that into your security and dust-management planning if the rack will be installed in a public or semi-public space.
Fits standard 19-inch EIA rack equipment up to 20 inches deep. The forward rackrail positions gear flush to the rack's front rail — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack accessories including blanks, brush panels, power strips, and cable management in the DWR sectional line. Forward-compatible with Middle Atlantic sectional accessories designed for the DWR series, so adding panels or expansion sections later does not require replacing existing hardware. Suitable for NVRs, PoE switches, patch panels, and AV matrix switchers that fall within the 20-inch usable depth and 300 lb aggregate load limit. For deployments requiring a front door, locking panels, or greater depth, evaluate other configurations in the wall mount rack family before specifying this unit. Not intended for outdoor or uncontrolled-environment use — confirm your installation location is conditioned and within normal indoor temperature ranges.
Product weight is 89.15 lbs (40.4 kg) unloaded; plan for a two-person lift and wall blocking rated for the combined rack-plus-equipment load. Shipping weight is 125.65 lbs — confirm freight access before scheduling delivery. The pivoting wall mount design requires adequate swing clearance in front of and beside the rack for service access; verify the swing arc against surrounding walls, doors, and conduit runs before finalizing the mounting location. Overall dimensions are 23.4 in W × 49.06 in H × 22 in D — confirm rough-in dimensions account for the full depth including rear wall standoff hardware. For seismic-zone installations, verify local AHJ requirements align with the UL seismic certification before sign-off. Consult Middle Atlantic's installation documentation for anchor bolt pattern, wall stud requirements, and torque specifications — proper blocking is mandatory at this load rating. Pairs well with a rack-mount power strip for in-rack power distribution without consuming additional wall outlets.
