The Middle Atlantic ERK-2120 is a 21U, 19 1/2 inch deep stand-alone rack frame designed for secure mounting of AV and IT equipment. Its robust steel construction and substantial load capacity make it suitable for consolidating networking gear, AV processors, and control systems in environments where wall-mounting is not feasible or sufficient. This frame-only configuration allows for maximum customization in equipment placement and rear access via the included door.

Compatibility

This rack frame is designed for standard 19-inch rack-mountable equipment. It utilizes 10-32 rack rail threads, compatible with the vast majority of professional AV and IT components. The 21 rack units provide ample vertical space for a variety of devices, from network switches and NVRs to audio amplifiers and video distribution units. Its usable depth of 18.47 inches accommodates most standard rack-depth equipment, but verify specific component dimensions for tight fits.

The ERK-2120 is constructed from durable steel with a black wrinkle powder coat finish for enhanced durability. It has a static load capacity of 2500 lbs, ensuring stability for heavy equipment loads. The unit is TAA compliant and UL listed for seismic load capacity, offering peace of mind in various installation scenarios. While ships flat, it does not require specialized tools beyond standard rack mounting hardware and basic assembly tools.
