Description

Altronix MAXIMAL1RHDV Concise Descriptor

Overview

The Altronix MAXIMAL1RHDV is a 1U rack-mount power distribution unit designed for centralized power delivery in surveillance and access control systems. It consolidates power for multiple devices, reducing wiring complexity and improving system reliability. This unit provides simultaneous 12VDC and 24VDC outputs, ideal for mixed-voltage installations. The MAXIMAL1RHDV is suited for applications requiring clean, regulated power for cameras, access control readers, or other low-voltage security devices within a standard 19-inch rack.

Compatibility

This unit is designed to power a variety of low-voltage security devices. It is compatible with systems requiring 12VDC or 24VDC power sources. The eight fused outputs can be configured for individual devices or small groups of devices, making it suitable for use with most IP cameras, network switches, access control panels, and other security peripherals that fall within its output current and voltage specifications.

Installation Notes

Installation requires basic electrical wiring knowledge. The unit accepts standard AC input power and provides regulated DC outputs. Each of the eight outputs features a resettable PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) fuse for overcurrent protection, rated at 2.5A per output. Ensure the total current draw for devices connected to the 12VDC output does not exceed 4A, and the total draw for devices on the 24VDC output does not exceed 3A. Proper ventilation within the rack is recommended to maintain optimal operating temperature.
