The Allied Telesis AT-MMC10GT/SP-960 is a compact standalone media converter that bridges 10GBASE-T copper infrastructure to SFP+ fiber uplinks — letting you extend 10 Gigabit Ethernet segments beyond the 100-meter copper limit without replacing existing switching hardware. The included universal PSU means a single SKU deploys across North American and international sites without sourcing region-specific power adapters. TAA compliance makes this a viable option for U.S. federal procurement and government-adjacent projects where Trade Agreements Act conformance is a contract requirement.
The RJ-45 copper port accepts standard 10GBASE-T cabling (Cat6a or Cat7 recommended at full 10G distance). The SFP+ slot accommodates Allied Telesis SFP+ transceivers across single-mode and multimode variants — confirm the transceiver's wavelength and reach against your fiber plant before ordering. Compatible with Allied Telesis managed and unmanaged 10G switching portfolios, and interoperable with third-party 10G infrastructure that conforms to IEEE 802.3an (10GBASE-T) on the copper side and standard SFP+ MSA on the fiber side.
Mount in any orientation — the compact form factor fits on a desk, DIN rail adapter (sold separately), or within a rack shelf. Use Cat6a minimum for 10G copper runs beyond 55 meters; Cat7 for full 100-meter reach. Verify SFP+ transceiver compatibility against Allied Telesis's qualified transceiver list before deployment to avoid link negotiation issues. The universal PSU auto-ranges across 100–240V AC input, eliminating the need for step-down transformers in mixed-voltage facilities.
