Compatibility

This extender is specifically designed for use with 10BASE-T1L/ET network infrastructure. It functions as a Media Device (MED) on the network edge, requiring a corresponding 10BASE-T1L/ET network switch or device at the head-end. Compatible with Altronix's own range of 10BASE-T1L/ET network switches, such as the Altronix NetWay series, and other compliant 10BASE-T1L/ET network devices. It is suitable for extending connectivity to devices like IP cameras, access control readers, or environmental sensors that support the 10BASE-T1L/ET standard.

Installation Notes

The PACE1KL12S requires a 12VDC power input, which is supplied via a terminal block. It draws minimal power, allowing for efficient deployment. For optimal performance and to meet the 1000m distance specification, use of appropriate cabling (e.g., Category 22 AWG twisted-pair) is recommended. Ensure proper termination of the twisted-pair cable to the RJ45 connector and the power input.
