Overview
The Altronix PACE1KRL24S is a 10BASE-T1L Ethernet extender kit designed to overcome the distance limitations of standard IP networking. It enables you to deploy IP cameras and other network devices up to 1,000 meters (3,280 ft.) over standard two-wire infrastructure, including existing twisted pair or 16 AWG+ cabling. This kit is ideal for large facilities, campus environments, or legacy building retrofits where running new Cat5e/Cat6 cable is cost-prohibitive. It provides 20W of power to the connected device, supporting IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards.
Compatibility
This kit is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant PoE device requiring up to 20W of power. It functions over standard two-wire (UTP or shielded) or 16 AWG or higher cabling. The 10BASE-T1L standard ensures interoperability with a wide range of modern IP cameras, access control readers, and other network endpoints that support this extended-reach Ethernet protocol.
Installation Notes
The PACE1KRL24S operates reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from –40°C to 75°C (–40°F to 167°F), making it suitable for outdoor enclosures or unconditioned spaces. It supports an operating altitude of up to 2,000 meters. Ensure proper termination of the two-wire connection for optimal performance and power delivery.
