Overview

The Add-On MIMC-PRO-1G-SFP-AO is a compact media converter designed to bridge the gap between standard copper Ethernet and SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) modules. This unit allows you to extend network connectivity beyond the typical 100-meter copper Ethernet limit by utilizing fiber optic or long-range copper SFP transceivers. It's ideal for connecting IP cameras, NVRs, or network switches in large facilities, across campuses, or in environments where traditional Ethernet cabling is impractical. The MIMC-PRO-1G-SFP-AO provides a 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ-45 port and an open SFP slot, ensuring flexible network integration.

Compatibility

This media converter is designed for general network use and is compatible with any standard SFP transceiver (sold separately) supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds. It functions as a transparent bridge, making it suitable for use with most IP cameras, network switches, and NVRs that feature an SFP port. Installation Notes

The MIMC-PRO-1G-SFP-AO requires a standard 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connection on one side and a compatible SFP transceiver (sold separately) on the other. Power is supplied via the included US standard power adapter. Ensure the SFP transceiver selected matches the desired network medium (e.g., single-mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, or RJ-45 for short-range copper extension) and distance requirements. The converter itself does not require configuration.
