Overview

The Signamax 065-1050GSFP is a robust media converter designed to bridge the gap between copper Ethernet and fiber optic networks, while also providing Power over Ethernet (PoE) and PoE+ capabilities. This unit is ideal for extending network reach in environments where you need to power a remote device, such as an IP camera or wireless access point, over a single Ethernet cable. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps copper connections and converts them to 1000Base-SFP fiber, enabling longer transmission distances and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The integrated PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) functionality delivers up to 30W per port, supporting both standard PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at) devices, simplifying installation by eliminating the need for separate power supplies at the remote location.

Compatibility

This media converter is designed to work with standard 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet devices and any 1000Base-SFP transceiver module (sold separately). Its PSE output is compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, making it compatible with a wide range of PoE-enabled IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and other network-powered devices. Installation Notes

The 065-1050GSFP requires a standard 110V AC power input for its internal power supply. The copper Ethernet port uses an RJ45 connector, while the fiber optic connection requires a compatible SFP module inserted into the designated slot. Ensure the SFP module's wavelength and fiber type (e.g., single-mode or multi-mode) match the connected fiber network. The unit supports wall mounting or desktop placement.
