Overview

The Middle Atlantic 8AAP is a 1-gang blank plate designed to fill unused bays in Extron AAP-compatible faceplates and enclosures. When a rack or credenza furniture build uses fewer AAP signal modules than the enclosure has open positions, the 8AAP keeps those openings covered — preventing dust ingress, maintaining a finished appearance, and blocking ambient light bleed in presentation and control rooms. It is the correct filler choice for any Middle Atlantic millwork or rack furniture product that accepts standard Extron AAP-format inserts.

Compatibility

The 8AAP is designed for enclosures and faceplates built around the Extron AAP (Architectural Adapter Plate) form factor — the industry-standard single-gang insert format used across AV credenzas, lecterns, tabletop boxes, and rack-mount cable access panels. It is compatible with Middle Atlantic's line of AV furniture and rack accessories that accept AAP-format modules, as well as third-party AAP-compatible enclosures from manufacturers who license or follow the same gang format. It is not a signal module and carries no active connectors — its sole function is bay coverage. If your enclosure requires a populated signal insert (HDMI, USB-C, VGA, or similar), this plate is not a substitute.
