This adapter supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C. It is compatible with any host device (laptops, desktops, tablets) that outputs a video signal via USB-C and supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. It connects to DVI-D (24+1 pin) or DVI-I (24+5 pin) inputs on displays, monitors, and projectors. It does not support audio transmission over DVI.
