Overview
The AP2PP is a software license upgrade that converts a Speco Professional access control system into Professional Plus, adding critical capacity and feature gates. Deploy this when your 1–4 door Professional deployment grows beyond initial cardholder count or when you need mobile app access (iOS/Android) that the base Professional tier does not support.
Compatibility
The AP2PP upgrade applies exclusively to systems running Speco Professional software on the AP4 (1–4 doors). After applying AP2PP, the system gains Professional Plus capacity thresholds: photo storage climbs from N/A to 15,000 images, access cards expand from 8,000 to 32,000, user accounts increase from 1,000 to 5,000, and user-defined fields jump from 5 to 10. Mobile app connectivity (cloud and P2P for iOS and Android) becomes available—a feature locked out in base Professional. If you operate 5–36 doors, you will need AP36 instead; for 37–128 doors, use APP36 or APP128 depending on system architecture. The AP2PP is not a hardware device; it is a license key activation that modifies system permissions and feature access on existing AP4 control panels.
Installation Notes
AP2PP is a software license activation—no physical installation required. Apply the license through the Speco Professional management interface using the license key provided upon purchase. Activation is immediate; the system does not require a restart, though a reboot is recommended to ensure all feature changes take effect cleanly. Verify mobile app connectivity is enabled in system settings after activation. No additional hardware, power, or network reconfiguration is needed.
