Description

Panduit UGB2/0-414-12 StructuredGround™ Universal Grounding Bar

The Panduit UGB2/0-414-12 universal grounding bar delivers NEC/UL-compliant equipment grounding termination for control panels, electrical enclosures, and IT/telecom installations. This 12-port tin-plated copper bar accepts #14 through #4 AWG branch conductors and terminates up to 2/0 AWG main equipment grounding conductors via compression or mechanical lug—eliminating the retrofit headaches of undersized OEM ground points or ad-hoc lug stacks. StructuredGround™ engineering ensures reliable low-impedance bonding across mixed wire gauges while meeting UL 467 and CSA 22.2 No. 41 certification requirements for commercial and industrial electrical systems.

Key Features

  • 12 wire ports accept #14–#4 AWG conductors for branch grounding circuits
  • Main conductor port accommodates up to 2/0 AWG with compression or mechanical connector
  • Tin-plated copper construction for corrosion resistance and low contact resistance
  • UL 467 and CSA 22.2 No. 41 certified for North American electrical installations
  • Multiple mounting options: bonding stand-offs, isolation stand-offs, or direct panel mount
  • 8.28" length × 0.62" width × 0.48" height—compact profile for dense enclosures

The UGB2/0-414-12 is machined from solid copper bar stock and finished with tin plating to prevent oxidation in humid or industrial environments. Each of the twelve branch ports features internal threading sized for #14 through #4 AWG wire termination with standard grounding screws—no proprietary hardware required. The main conductor port accepts Panduit compression lugs or two-hole mechanical lugs rated for 2/0 AWG, providing a Listed termination point for the primary equipment grounding conductor from your service entrance or panelboard. The tin-plated finish maintains contact resistance below 5 milliohms per UL 467 test protocol, ensuring fault currents clear downstream breakers without voltage rise at the grounding point.

Integrators deploy the UGB2/0-414-12 in control panels where multiple grounding conductors converge—VFD enclosures, PLC cabinets, security headend racks, and IT distribution frames. The bar ships with bonding stand-off hardware for direct electrical connection to painted or powder-coated enclosures, meeting NEC 250.146 bonding requirements without wire jumpers. Alternatively, isolation stand-offs allow floating ground installations for instrumentation or telecom systems where ground isolation is specified. For retrofit applications, the bar mounts directly to DIN rail or panel knockouts using the included hardware, replacing undersized factory ground lugs or eliminating unsafe daisy-chain bonding.

UL 467 and CSA 22.2 No. 41 dual certification qualifies the UGB2/0-414-12 for installation under the National Electrical Code and Canadian Electrical Code, satisfying AHJ inspection requirements for commercial and industrial grounding systems. The 12-port layout accommodates typical branch circuit density in NEMA 12 and NEMA 4 enclosures without forcing installers to stack lugs or split grounds across multiple bars—a common compliance violation during NEC 250.148 equipment grounding audits.
