Altronix T2AGK712SD UL294 Access Control Power Supply Kit

Overview

The Altronix T2AGK712SD is a complete, UL294-listed power supply kit engineered for AMAG M4000 access control deployments and similar multi-door commercial installations that demand a single-enclosure solution covering primary power, battery backup, and distributed output — all pre-integrated and agency-listed out of the box. Drawing 4.2A max from a standard 115VAC/60Hz circuit, the T2AGK712SD converts wall power to regulated 24VDC at 10A continuous, with selectable 12VDC or 24VDC auxiliary outputs at 2.5A each for readers, locks, or ancillary devices. The 12VDC/12AH sealed lead-acid battery provides standby runtime to keep doors operating during a power interruption — a non-negotiable requirement in most commercial and government access control specifications.

Key Features

  • 24VDC / 10A Primary Output: Ten amps of regulated 24VDC is enough to drive lock hardware, door controllers, and request-to-exit devices simultaneously across a multi-door head-end without forcing you to daisy-chain supplemental supplies. That consolidation reduces wiring complexity and simplifies UL-listed system documentation.
  • Selectable 12 or 24VDC Auxiliary Outputs at 2.5A: The per-output voltage selection lets a single kit power mixed-voltage peripherals — a 12VDC mag-lock alongside a 24VDC electric strike, for instance — without external voltage converters that introduce failure points outside the listed enclosure.
  • 115VAC / 60Hz, 4.2A Input: Standard North American single-phase input means the T2AGK712SD installs on any 15A or 20A branch circuit without special electrical infrastructure. At 4.2A draw, it fits comfortably on a shared circuit alongside other low-draw panel equipment.
  • 12VDC / 12AH Battery Backup: The onboard 12AH battery provides meaningful standby autonomy. In a lightly loaded deployment — say, two doors with fail-secure strikes — expect several hours of runtime during a utility outage. This satisfies UL294 standby requirements without a separate UPS enclosure.
  • UL294 and CAN/ULC-S319-05 Listings: These are the access control power supply listings that AHJs, security directors, and insurance underwriters specifically look for. UL294 covers the access control power supply itself; CAN/ULC-S319-05 extends compliance to Canadian jurisdictions. CE marking supports international projects. Having all three on one kit avoids the compliance headache of mixing non-listed components.
