Description

Ubiquiti UACC-DAC-SFP28-0.5M 25 Gbps Direct Attach Cable

Overview

The UACC-DAC-SFP28-0.5M is a passive 25 Gbps direct attach cable built for short-haul SFP28 connections in data centers and enterprise switch deployments. At 0.5 meters (1.6 feet), this twinax cable eliminates transceiver cost and latency overhead on top-of-rack connections, equipment-to-equipment stacking, and dense switch fabric buildouts. It supports 25GBase-CU specifications and integrates directly into Ubiquiti UniFi switching infrastructure without active components — meaning no power draw, no thermal management burden, and no additional failure points.

Compatibility

The UACC-DAC-SFP28-0.5M mates with any SFP28 port on Ubiquiti switches and compatible network gear. Verify SFP28 port availability on your target switch before purchase; verify model support in your equipment documentation. The 0.5m length is optimized for cabinet-level distances — top-of-rack to adjacent gear, spine-to-leaf adjacency, and server-to-switch short runs. Not suitable for long cable runs; if your distance exceeds 1 meter, optical transceivers and fiber patch cable become a better choice for signal integrity.

Installation Notes

Passive direct attach cables require no configuration. Insert the connector fully into the SFP28 port until the latch clicks — push firmly but do not force. Keep both ends clean and protected when not in use. Do not bend, crimp, or kink the cable; damage to the twinax core degrades or blocks signal. Store at room temperature; avoid moisture and prolonged UV exposure.
