Overview
The U-CABLE-C6-CMP is a 305-meter spool of Category 6 UTP cable engineered for plenum-space installations where flame rating is a code requirement. CMP (Communications Multi-Purpose) rating per NFPA 262 means this cable meets fire safety standards for use in air-return paths above suspended ceilings and in other plenum environments — the kind of installation where standard PVC jackets won't pass inspection. Solid bare copper 23 AWG conductors with four twisted pairs, anti-crosstalk divider, and flame-retardant FRPVC jacket deliver reliable gigabit Ethernet performance across network infrastructure deployments in commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.
Compatibility
Works with any RJ45-terminated Ethernet cabling infrastructure — compatible with Ubiquiti UniFi switches and network equipment, standard network switches, patch panels, and wall plates. The TIA-568.2-D color-coded pairs support both straight and crossover terminations. Minimum bend radius of 22.4 mm (0.98 inches) — keep this in mind in tight conduit runs or cable trays with sharp corners; tighter bends degrade performance and risk jacket damage.
Installation Notes
Installation temperature range 0 to 60°C; operating range -20 to 60°C. Jacket diameter is 5.6 ± 0.2 mm — verify clearance in existing conduit before pulling 305 m through. UL 444 and CSA 22.2 NO.214 certified per ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, ISO/IEC 11801 Edition 2.2, and IEC 61156-5 Edition 2.1 standards. Ripcord included for easy jacket removal during termination. RoHS2 compliant (EU Directive 2011/65/EU).
