Altronix TANGO8P Fused 12/24VDC Output Enclosure

Overview

The Altronix TANGO8P is a compact, fused power distribution enclosure designed to provide selectable 12VDC or 24VDC outputs for powering surveillance and access control devices. It accepts a range of PoE inputs (802.3af/at/bt up to 90W) and converts them into reliable, fused DC power, ideal for installations where a single PoE source needs to power multiple low-power devices. The TANGO8P is suitable for wall-mount applications in commercial and industrial environments, simplifying wiring and centralizing power management for IP cameras, door controllers, and other low-voltage equipment. The unit features LiFePO4 battery backup for uninterrupted operation during power outages.

Compatibility

This enclosure is designed to accept power from standard PoE switches or injectors supporting 802.3af (up to 15W), 802.3at (up to 30W), or 802.3bt (up to 90W) input. The outputs are fused at 3A per output, with a total maximum output current of 20A. It is compatible with a wide range of 12VDC or 24VDC powered security devices, including IP cameras, network switches, access control panels, and video intercom systems. The selectable output voltage allows for flexible deployment with diverse equipment.

Installation Notes

The TANGO8P requires a PoE input source. Output voltage is selectable via a jumper. Each of the eight outputs is individually fused for protection. The enclosure is rated for 0ºC to 49ºC operating temperatures and 85% relative humidity. It requires a standard electrical connection for the PoE input source. The unit weighs 9.0 lb and measures 15.5” x 12” x 4.5”.
