Description

Altronix T3MK77F16SDQ Power Distribution Module

Overview

The Altronix T3MK77F16SDQ is a 16-output power distribution module designed to distribute power from a single source to multiple surveillance devices. It features individual PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resettable fuses for each output, providing overload protection and preventing a single device failure from affecting the entire system. This module is critical for maintaining system stability and simplifying power management in complex video surveillance deployments, especially when powering multiple cameras or other low-voltage equipment from a central power supply. The T3MK77F16SDQ is engineered for reliable, safe power distribution.

Compatibility

This power distribution module is designed to work with a wide range of low-voltage power supplies, typically 12VDC or 24VDC, commonly used in security and surveillance systems. It is compatible with Altronix power supply enclosures and can be integrated into systems utilizing various camera types, access control devices, or other low-voltage equipment requiring individual fused outputs. Specific compatibility extends to systems that require distributed power for up to 16 devices, each needing up to 2.5A of current, provided the total current draw does not exceed the input power supply's rating.

Installation Notes

Installation requires connecting a single power source (e.g., 12VDC or 24VDC) to the input terminals. Each of the 16 outputs can then be wired to individual devices. The PTC fuses offer automatic resettable overload protection; if an output is overloaded, the fuse will temporarily shut off power to that specific output. Once the overload condition is removed, the fuse will reset, restoring power. Ensure the total current draw across all 16 outputs does not exceed the capacity of the primary power supply. Mounting typically occurs within an Altronix enclosure or a suitable chassis.
