Overview
The LENS-RC is a replacement red lens assembly for System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance ceiling-mounted strobe units. This accessory installs directly onto existing SpectrAlert Advance strobes to provide distinctive red visual signaling. The lens is UL 1638 listed and rated for both indoor and outdoor use (−35°F to 151°F), making it suitable for retrofit, maintenance, and new installations across commercial, institutional, and industrial fire alarm networks. The LENS-RC requires 35VDC operation and integrates with two-wire SpectrAlert Advance control systems.
Compatibility
The LENS-RC is designed exclusively for SpectrAlert Advance ceiling strobe devices. It attaches via the universal mounting plate common to the SpectrAlert Advance product line. Verify your existing strobe model carries the SpectrAlert Advance designation before ordering — this lens does not fit earlier SpectrAlert generations or competing brands. Installation Notes
The LENS-RC employs a plug-in snap-on design — no tools or fasteners required for installation. Simply align the lens with the strobe's universal mounting plate and press into place until seated. The lens is rated NEMA 3R (indoor and outdoor weatherproof) and operates safely in outdoor environments down to −35°F. Ensure the strobe is de-energized (35VDC supply disconnected) before installing or removing the lens to prevent accidental activation. The outdoor temperature range (−35°F to 151°F) applies to both lens material and optical performance — verify your installation location remains within these bounds year-round.
