STI STI-13000NC-FR Flush-Mount Protective Cover
Overview
The STI-13000NC-FR is a clear polycarbonate protective cover built to shield wall-mounted controls from vandalism, accidental impact, dust, and dirt in both indoor and outdoor environments. It fits over fire alarm manual pull stations, keypads, intercom stations, emergency buttons, and light switches or outlets without blocking authorized access to the device underneath. The flush, low-profile mount option keeps the enclosure close to the wall surface, which matters where ADA clearance or corridor egress width is a factor. This is the flush (recessed) version — the cover sits into the wall opening rather than surface-mounting proud of it.
Compatibility
Sized to fit most standard fire alarm pull stations, access-control keypads, and intercom stations, including devices wired for 24VDC operation over TCP/IP-networked intercom systems. It also fits emergency push buttons, light switches, and electrical outlets. The molded polycarbonate shell is UV-stabilized, so the cover stays clear rather than yellowing under sustained outdoor sun exposure. An optional relay output is available for powered signaling applications on 12-24VDC.
Installation Notes
The enclosure carries an IP56 rating, so wind-driven rain and dust intrusion at a flush-mounted exterior door or loading dock won't compromise the protected device — note IP56 is not a submersion rating, so fully submerged locations need a different enclosure. Gaskets are included for the seal. A tamper lock tab is built in, but per STI's own guidance it should not be used on fire alarm applications where unrestricted access is required in an emergency. The hinge is a one-piece, high-strength design intended to hold up under repeated opening in high-traffic areas.
