STI KIT-06297C Spacer Kit for Electric Strike
Overview
The STI KIT-06297C is a spacer component designed to establish correct mechanical alignment between electric strike assemblies and compatible door frames. This kit solves the common installation problem of improper strike-to-frame spacing, which causes binding, inconsistent latch engagement, or false strike failures in access control systems. Deploy this spacer when integrating STI-1210C or STI-1221C strikes into retrofit or new-build door openings where frame geometry requires offset positioning.
Compatibility
This spacer kit is engineered specifically for the STI-1210C and STI-1221C electric strike families. Both strikes operate on 9VDC and are commonly paired with HID credential readers in commercial access control deployments. Verify frame depth and strike mounting pattern against your specific door configuration before ordering — spacer effectiveness depends on correct frame-to-strike geometry. Do not attempt to use this spacer on non-STI strike models or other strike series; mechanical mounting patterns differ.
Installation Notes
Position the spacer frame centrally over the strike assembly or device to be protected. Mark the four fixing holes using the spacer as a template, then drill using a 7mm masonry drill bit. Secure the spacer frame to the wall or frame using the provided wall fixings. For surface installations, use the cable entry inserts attached to the spacer to blank off unused cable holes — this prevents moisture ingress and maintains environmental seal integrity. Ensure 9VDC power supply is disconnected before installation. After spacer mounting, verify strike activation and latch engagement through a full open-close cycle before handing off to end-user commissioning.
