Overview

The STI EF201610-O3 is a NEMA 3R filter fan assembly designed to ventilate and protect outdoor electrical enclosures from dust, moisture, and contamination. This opaque variant prevents light transmission while delivering climate control for access control panels, network equipment, and other electronics mounted in harsh outdoor environments. The unit mounts directly to standard enclosure sidewalls and manages thermal buildup without exposing internal components to visual inspection.

Compatibility

The EF201610-O3 integrates with STI EnviroArmour® fiberglass enclosure systems and other outdoor electrical cabinets requiring NEMA 3R environmental sealing. Verify mounting hole pattern and enclosure wall thickness (typically 1.5–2 inches fiberglass) before ordering. Compatible with standard 115V or 230V single-phase power supplies for fan operation.

Installation Notes

Mount the filter fan assembly to the enclosure sidewall using stainless steel fasteners rated for outdoor corrosion resistance. Ensure adequate clearance (minimum 12 inches) on the intake side for unobstructed airflow. The opaque design requires no additional light-blocking covers. Position the unit to exhaust away from prevailing wind direction to maximize cooling efficiency.
