Description

STI EF6POST Fiberglass Corner Post Kit – 6" Depth

Overview

The EF6POST is a fiberglass corner post kit designed to mount access control hardware, credential readers, and strike mechanisms in outdoor environments where weather exposure and structural durability are non-negotiable. The 6" depth accommodates standard mounting plates and wiring conduit behind weather-resistant fiberglass enclosure walls. Use this when you need a protected corner installation point that won't rust, degrade, or require constant maintenance in rain, salt spray, or UV-intensive climates.

Compatibility

The EF6POST integrates with STI EnviroArmour system installations and supports mounting of outdoor credential readers, electric strikes, and intercom modules that operate at 9VDC. Compatible with standard access control hardware using conventional drill-and-bolt mounting patterns. Suitable for integrating into larger outdoor security perimeter installations where corner post support prevents exposure of wiring and mechanical components to weather and vandalism.

Installation Notes

Fiberglass construction eliminates the need for corrosion protection treatments required with metal posts in coastal or high-humidity environments. The kit's 6" depth provides clearance for standard cable glands and strike wiring behind the mounted hardware. Install in corners where mounting surfaces are solid (concrete, wood, metal frame); drilling into fiberglass itself is not required. Verify voltage supply at mounted devices does not exceed 9VDC to prevent component damage.
