STI KIT-121 Environmental Protection Kit
Overview
The KIT-121 is an environmental hardening accessory for STI Horn/Strobe Damage Stopper Series devices, primarily the Stopper II models. It consists of a weather gasket and protective polycarbonate cover frame designed to shield manual call points and alarm devices from moisture, dust, UV exposure, and temperature extremes that degrade performance over extended outdoor deployment. Install this kit when your call point or strobe sits on an exposed wall, loading dock, or high-traffic outdoor area where rain, salt spray, or condensation would otherwise corrode contacts or cause nuisance activations. The kit operates at 9VDC, integrating into standard low-voltage security system installations without additional power sourcing.

The KIT-121 is designed for STI Horn/Strobe Damage Stopper Series devices, including the Stopper II and Weather Stopper II protective covers. It fits the STI-1200, STI-1230, STI-1100, STI-1130, STI-1250, and STI-3150 manual call point and alarm device families. The weather gasket and frame assembly are universal across these models—verify the device footprint against the cover dimensions before ordering if you are working with a non-standard mounting configuration. Compatible with fire alarm, access control, and building security integrations that require environmental sealing without restricting legitimate device operation.
Installation Notes
Position the protective frame centrally over the device and mark the four fixing holes. Drill using a 7mm masonry bit, then secure the frame to the wall with the provided wall fixings. Install the weather gasket over the device, then position and fasten the frame over the gasket using the included screws. For surface-mounted installations, use the supplied inserts attached to the spacer frame to seal unused cable entry holes, preventing water ingress into conduit. The gasket acts as a compression seal—do not overtighten frame screws, as this may degrade the polycarbonate or pinch the gasket material. Allow the clear cover to fully cure after installation before exposing to full UV load if installed in direct sunlight.
