Description

STI KIT-G3-A-EN Audio/Visual Tamper Alert Kit

Overview

The KIT-G3-A-EN is a 9VDC audio/visual tamper alert accessory for STI lock and strike installations. When a protected device is tampered with or accessed without authorization, the integrated sounder emits a 120 dB alert — loud enough to draw immediate attention and deter casual vandalism or unauthorized operation. This kit solves the detection and notification problem on manual call points, break-glass stations, and secured strike hardware where you need audible proof of tampering, not just a silent log entry.

Compatibility

This kit integrates with STI lock and strike systems designed to accept tamper-monitoring modules, including the Stopper II and Weather Stopper II protective covers. Confirm your specific strike model supports the KIT-G3-A-EN connector and voltage requirements before ordering. The kit operates at 9VDC, so verify your control panel or power supply can deliver that voltage to the device location.

Installation Notes

Position the tamper alert module over the device to be protected and mark the four fixing holes using a 7mm masonry drill. Install the protective gasket first if the unit is exposed to weather, then secure the frame with the provided wall fixings. For surface installations, use the cable gasket inserts to blank off any unused entry holes and protect against moisture ingress. The 120 dB sounder is battery-powered and integral to the frame, so no separate audio wiring is required — only the 9VDC power connection to the control circuit.
