Overview
The Speco Technologies N16WNRX16TB is a 16-channel network video recorder designed for wall-mounted deployment in control rooms, security offices, and utility closets where space is constrained. This model combines 16TB of onboard storage with embedded facial recognition and smart analytics processing, eliminating the need for external AI servers in many commercial and institutional installations. The unit accepts IP camera feeds from any ONVIF-compliant camera, making it compatible with mixed third-party camera ecosystems without proprietary software dependencies.
Compatibility
The N16WNRX16TB supports any ONVIF Profile S and T compliant IP camera — including Speco camera lines and standard third-party surveillance hardware. PoE ports deliver power to compatible cameras directly, eliminating separate power supply runs for camera installations under 13W per port (802.3af standard). The unit integrates with VMS platforms supporting ONVIF, allowing centralized management across multi-site deployments. Wall-mount form factor suits both retrofit installations in existing security cabinets and new-build control room layouts where rack space is unavailable.
Installation Notes
Connect IP cameras to the PoE ports first, then wire a monitor via VGA or HDMI (cables not included), attach the included optical mouse to a USB port, and connect the power adapter to a 120VAC 50/60Hz outlet. Allow the unit to boot fully before configuring network access and setting administrative credentials. Ensure local electrical codes are followed during installation.
