Overview
The CLTX1 is a 4-inch mechanical standoff extension designed to increase the distance between a Speco CLT-series ceiling-mount camera and the mounting surface. Install this when standard camera mounting depth is insufficient—common in suspended ceiling grids, recessed installations, or where you need to clear structural obstacles or cable runs. The extension maintains electrical pass-through alignment, so power and network remain uninterrupted from your PoE switch to the camera.
Compatibility
The CLTX1 is engineered for direct mechanical and electrical compatibility with Speco's CLT-series ceiling cameras: CLT1, CLT2, CLT3, CLT4, and CLT5. Verify your specific camera model against this list before ordering. The extension preserves the camera's native 2.8–12mm varifocal lens range, WDR operation, IR capability (up to 230 ft.), and PoE (802.3af) delivery without modification or additional adapters.
Installation Notes
The CLTX1 includes a junction box compatible with both NPT and BSP specification standards. When mounting, account for the additional 4 inches of extension in your ceiling cavity planning—verify your drop ceiling or mounting surface can support the combined weight of the extension and camera. Electrical connections pass through the standoff; no additional wiring is required. Standard mounting hardware attaches the extension to your ceiling structure, then the camera mounts directly to the extension's top plate. Confirm clearance for your lens type (varifocal) to ensure the field of view adjustment range is not obstructed by the extension housing or mounting bracket.
