Overview
The SGB-3S2 is a single gang bottom-entry plate designed for the Middle Atlantic AF Series Raised Floor Box system. It accepts three Ortronics Series II inserts, making it the right choice when you need to terminate structured cabling, AV, or low-voltage connections at floor level with a clean, modular faceplate. Bottom-entry configuration routes cables up from below — the correct orientation for in-floor raceway and raised-floor plenum installations where top or side cable entry would create a bend-radius or clearance problem. UL Listed for commercial installations.
Compatibility
Designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic AF Series Single Gang Raised Floor Box. Accepts exactly three Ortronics Series II keystone-style inserts — no other insert format is supported. Ortronics Series II inserts cover a broad range of termination types (Cat5e/Cat6 jacks, fiber, coax, USB, HDMI), so the SGB-3S2 works across IT, AV, and wire ducting and raceway applications as long as the inserts themselves are Series II format. Do not attempt to fit Series I or non-Ortronics inserts — the cutout geometry is specific to the Series II form factor.
Installation Notes
Bottom-entry orientation means cable routing must approach from below the floor box — plan conduit or raceway stub-ups accordingly before box placement. The single gang form factor fits standard single gang floor box cavities in the AF Series; verify your floor box order matches single gang before specifying this plate. UL listing satisfies commercial inspection requirements for low-voltage floor-box terminations in typical US jurisdictions.
