Vertiv AK101 Seismic Anchor Kit
Overview
The Vertiv AK101 is a seismic anchor kit designed to secure Vertiv rack-mount equipment, specifically power distribution units (PDUs) and vertical cable managers, to standard server racks. This kit is critical for installations in seismic zones, ensuring that sensitive IT infrastructure remains stable and operational during seismic events. It provides a robust mounting solution that integrates directly with Vertiv's rack systems, preventing displacement and potential damage.
Compatibility
The AK101 kit is compatible with various Vertiv rack accessories including: PDU2ER and PDU3ER brackets for mounting PDUs with button mounts, VPCB1 for vertical cable management, PSBGLRR-B and PSBGLRR for mounting single vertical power strips, and FMSBKT front mount support brackets. It also supports VCM, VCMX, and VCMP metal and plastic channels for comprehensive cable management within the rack.
Installation Notes
Installation requires direct attachment to the rack's frame. Specific components within the AK101 kit, such as the PDU2ER and PDU3ER, are designed to mount to the FMP (Front Mounting Plate) or directly to the rack's vertical rails. The VSBK6-8 and VSBK9-14 variable spacer ganging kits are included to maintain proper floor spacing between racks when used with VCMs or baffles, ensuring adequate airflow and access.
