SDC FB-4 Four Output Fused Terminal Board
The SDC FB-4 is a four-output fused distribution module that splits a single 24VDC supply into four independently protected circuits. Install this where you need to feed multiple door control devices—electric strikes, magnetic locks, request-to-exit buttons, or auxiliary relays—from one power source without tangling wire runs or losing circuit isolation.
Overview
The FB-4 accepts 12/24VDC input (±10% tolerance) and delivers four isolated, individually fused outputs at 2 amps per channel. Each output has its own on/off switch and LED indicator, so you can kill power to one device without affecting the others. The isolated relay design is the key: it lets you run 22 AWG trigger or control cable up to 1000 feet from a remote door controller to this module without voltage drop or noise coupling issues. Dimensions are compact—3¼" × 2"—so it mounts easily in a cabinet or beside a power supply.
Compatibility
The FB-4 works downstream of any 12 or 24VDC access control power supply. It's commonly paired with SDC door strike controllers, electromagnetic locks, and integrated access control panels that output low-voltage DC. The 24VDC standard voltage matches most commercial security power supplies and door control relay modules in distributed installations. If your system uses 12VDC inputs, the ±10% input tolerance covers it.
Installation Notes
Wire the positive and negative input terminals to your 24VDC source. Each output terminal pair connects to a door control device (strike coil, magnet, or auxiliary load). The 2-amp fuse per output protects against shorts or overload—if a strike solenoid draws more than 2 amps, that channel's fuse blows and isolates the fault. The long cable run capability (22 AWG to 1000 feet) is useful in sprawling warehouse or campus deployments where the power supply is remote from the door hardware. Mount in a DIN-compatible enclosure or cabinet; no special environmental protection is specified beyond the module itself, so keep it indoors or in a weatherproof box if exposed to elements.
