Overview
The SATO SR15LD-20122 is a 4" x 3" thermal transfer paper label engineered for high-volume industrial and enterprise labeling operations. Designed for seamless integration with SATO industrial thermal transfer printers, this label stock delivers crisp barcode reproduction, clear text rendering, and reliable adhesion across warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
Material Composition: The thermal transfer paper facestock ensures excellent print contrast and image clarity for barcodes, QR codes, and text-based identification. The permanent acrylic adhesive provides reliable adhesion to corrugated cartons, plastic cases, metal surfaces, and labware—critical for cold chain, ambient, and heated storage conditions.
Ribbon Compatibility: The SR15LD-20122 supports three ribbon formulations, allowing users to optimize for application requirements. Wax ribbons provide cost-effective printing on coated surfaces; wax-resin ribbons offer enhanced durability for moderate-temperature environments; resin ribbons deliver maximum print permanence for harsh chemical, moisture, and abrasion exposure.
Roll Configuration: Each case contains 4 rolls of 650 labels, totaling 2,600 labels. The 1.5" inner core and 4.375" outer core diameter are standard SATO printer specifications, ensuring drop-in compatibility without reconfiguration.
The SR15LD-20122 strikes a practical balance between label capacity and print quality for mid-to-high-volume operations. The 4" x 3" format accommodates full GS1-128 barcodes, shipping routing information, and human-readable text without sacrificing readability or label density. The perforated design minimizes operator handling time and reduces label curl during dispensing.
The three-ribbon compatibility strategy reflects SATO's modular approach: organizations can start with cost-effective wax printing and upgrade to wax-resin or resin formulations as application requirements change—without replacing label stock. This flexibility is valuable in environments where label durability requirements vary by product line or shipping destination.
For operations processing 2,600+ labels per case, the four-roll configuration reduces changeover frequency while maintaining manageable roll weight and storage footprint. Best practice: integrate roll-tracking into inventory management systems to prevent unexpected stockouts during peak shipping periods.
