The U211900 is a rubber microphone boot designed for Viking Electronics entry phone and intercom installations where the microphone element needs environmental protection and a secure mechanical mount. The 10mm boot profile accepts Viking's standard microphone capsule, while the integrated mounting ears allow it to be fastened directly to a panel or enclosure face — eliminating the loose-capsule problem that plagues field-assembled intercom enclosures. The custom split cord runs 25 feet and terminates in one male plug and two female plugs, giving the installer the wiring flexibility to branch audio or daisy-chain without additional splices.
Designed for use with Viking Electronics entry phones and intercom systems that use a 10mm microphone capsule — including the E-10, E-20, E-30, and E-32-IP VoIP entry phone series. Verify your specific panel's microphone pocket diameter before ordering; 10mm is Viking's standard for this product family but not universal across all Viking enclosures. The split cord's male/female plug configuration is specific to Viking's wiring harness convention — confirm connector type against your panel's microphone header before installation.
The 25-foot cord can be shortened in the field if the run is shorter — trim to length and re-terminate rather than coiling excess inside the enclosure, which introduces noise pickup. Rated for operation from -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C) and 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for outdoor Viking entry phone installations in most North American climates without additional weatherproofing of the microphone assembly itself. Maximum sound pressure handling is 90 dB SPL at 1 meter — adequate for standard entry intercom use but not for high-SPL industrial environments. The relay contacts on associated Viking entry phone hardware support up to 2 Amp — ensure your door strike or lock load does not exceed this rating when wiring the relay circuit during the same installation.
