Description

Vertiv VP7N20A4 Switched Outlet Level Monitoring PDU

Overview

The Vertiv VP7N20A4 is a 20A, 120V switched rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed for data center and network closet deployments. It provides granular control over individual outlets, allowing you to remotely power cycle equipment, manage power consumption, and ensure reliable operation. This vertical unit is ideal for high-density racks where space is at a premium, offering 24x 5-20R outlets to power a variety of IT devices. Its level outlet monitoring provides real-time data on power draw per outlet, crucial for capacity planning and preventing overloads.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed for standard 19-inch server racks and is compatible with most network and server equipment requiring 120V power. It is suitable for use with enterprise-grade network switches, servers, storage devices, and other IT infrastructure components that draw up to 20A total. Its 5-20R outlets accommodate standard NEMA 5-20P plugs, offering wider compatibility than standard 5-15R outlets.

Installation Notes

The VP7N20A4 mounts vertically in standard server racks, requiring minimal rack space. It connects to a single 120V power source capable of delivering at least 1.9kW. Ensure the circuit breaker feeding the PDU is rated for 20A. The unit is RoHS, UL & c-UL Listed 60950, and FCC Part 15 Class A compliant, meeting stringent safety and interference standards for commercial environments.
