Description

Vertiv VP4N31A2 Monitored Rack PDU

Overview

The Vertiv VP4N31A2 is a monitored, intelligent rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed for data center and network closet environments. It provides 4.9kW of power capacity at 208V, distributing it through four locking IEC C13 outlets. This unit is suitable for rack-mounted IT equipment where granular power monitoring and remote management are required. The VP4N31A2 supports DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, IPv4, IPv6, LDAP, NTP, RADIUS, RSTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP (v1/v2c/v3), Syslog, and TACACS+ protocols, enabling integration into existing network management infrastructure. It operates within a 200-240V input range and delivers 208V to connected devices, with a single NEMA L6-30R input connector.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed for standard 19-inch rack enclosures. Its network management capabilities allow integration with most enterprise network monitoring systems supporting SNMP, Syslog, or other listed protocols. The NEMA L6-30R input connector is compatible with standard 30A, 208V circuits. The four locking IEC C13 outlets ensure secure connections for standard IT equipment power cords.

Installation Notes

The unit mounts horizontally in a standard 19-inch rack, requiring minimal rack space (44 mm width). It operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 60°C (32°F to 140°F). Ensure the power source meets the 200-240V input requirement and the NEMA L6-30R plug is used. Network configuration requires an IP address, which can be assigned via DHCP or static configuration.
