Description

Vertiv I10497 Metered Upgradeable 0U Vertical Rack PDU

Overview

The Vertiv I10497 is a 0U vertically-mounted, three-phase metered PDU rated at 30A and 208V — built for high-density server and network racks where you need real-time visibility into current draw, voltage, and power without burning a rack unit on distribution gear. With 36 total outlets (a mix of C13 and C19), this unit serves mixed server, storage, and networking environments from a single feed. The NEMA L15-30P input plug and 3-meter cable give you enough reach to comfortably route to a floor-mounted PDU or panel without extension hardware in most standard data center row configurations. If you're sizing power distribution for a new rack build or expanding an existing row, the I10497 fits into a rack PDU lineup where per-phase monitoring is mandatory but per-outlet switching isn't yet required — with the upgradeable chassis, that capability can be added later without swapping the unit.

Key Features

  • 36 Outlets (C13 + C19 Mix): The combination of C13 and C19 couplers means you can feed standard 1U/2U servers on C13 and high-draw devices — think dense storage controllers, GPU servers, or high-port-count switches — on C19 without adapters. Mixed outlet banks are non-negotiable in heterogeneous racks.
  • 30A / 208V Three-Phase Input: At 208V three-phase via NEMA L15-30P, this PDU pulls from a balanced three-phase feed, which distributes load evenly across phases and reduces neutral current — a real benefit in dense deployments where single-phase loading creates imbalance. The 30A circuit supports up to approximately 5.76kW of usable capacity at 80% derate, in line with NEC recommendations.
  • Metered Monitoring (Current, Voltage, Power): The built-in LED display and metering give you live readings on current (amps), voltage, and power (VA) at the unit level. For environments without a full DCIM platform, this is the baseline you need to catch overloaded circuits before a breaker trips — no external probe required.
