Overview

The MRK-4431-DVR is a 44RU, 31-inch-deep floor-standing rack pre-configured for security deployments — arriving with lace-op lacer strip, four straight lacer bars, two offset lacer bars, and twelve Velcro ties already included so you can start dressing cable immediately rather than sourcing hardware separately. At 83.13 inches tall with a 19-inch panel width and 23.25-inch overall width, it fits standard equipment rooms and IDF closets while accommodating full-depth NVRs, patch panels, and PoE switches in the same enclosure. The 29-inch usable depth handles high-density DVR and NVR chassis without forcing rear-cable compromise. Both side panels and a rear door are included, giving integrators a finished, ventilated enclosure from day one.

Compatibility

Accepts any 19-inch rack-mount equipment using standard 10-32 threaded rail — the dominant fastener spec across network video recorders, managed PoE switches, UPS units, and patch panels from manufacturers including Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, Ubiquiti, APC, and Middle Atlantic's own power distribution units. The 44 RU of usable space accommodates a typical mid-to-large security head-end: a 32-channel NVR (2–4U), a 24-port PoE switch (1U), a rackmount UPS (2–3U), a fiber patch panel (1U), and a keyboard/monitor tray (1–2U), with headroom remaining. The 2,500 lb UL-rated load capacity handles even fully populated storage-dense NVR builds without risk of structural overload.

Installation Notes

Seismic rating is certified to ASCE 7-10 with a 1,050 lb seismic load capacity — required by code in many California, Pacific Northwest, and Gulf Coast jurisdictions for equipment rooms. Confirm AHJ requirements before specifying a non-seismic alternative. The rack is manufactured in the USA and is not gangable, so plan floor space for a standalone footprint of 23.25 inches wide by 31 inches deep. Floor anchoring hardware is not listed in evidence — verify anchor kit availability separately for seismic installations.
