Overview
The FLIR CP-6402-41-IA is a Full HD PTZ pendant-form-factor camera with 40x optical zoom and integrated IR LED illumination. Designed for covert or compact ceiling installations where traditional PTZ housings won't fit, the pendant geometry allows integration into existing building infrastructure — light fixtures, conduit, or concealment mounting points — without the bulk of a standard PTZ turret. The 40x zoom range delivers readable detail at distance; the IR LED provides low-light and complete-darkness coverage without external illumination. Pendant mounting simplifies installation in retrofit scenarios where traditional wall or ceiling PTZ brackets would be visually intrusive or physically obstructed.
Compatibility
The CP-6402-41-IA integrates with FLIR command and control systems supporting ONVIF Profile S and T protocols. Confirm compatibility with your VMS or NVR platform via ONVIF standard endpoints. As a standalone PTZ unit, it can be wired to PTZ controllers or directly to NVRs with built-in PTZ management. Installation Notes
Pendant mounting requires secure overhead attachment capable of supporting the full weight of the optics and IR LED housing. Ceiling grid mounting or structural anchorage is recommended; drywall-only fastening is not suitable for pan/tilt mechanical stress. The IR LED draws additional current during low-light operation — confirm your PoE or auxiliary power supply can sustain peak load during sustained IR use. Cable management from the pendant to the controller or PoE injector must accommodate unobstructed panning and tilting without kinking or pinching the shielded twisted pair. Test full pan/tilt range before final commissioning to verify no cable binding.
