Overview
The Panduit FQWO-12-10U is a 12-fiber, OM5 multimode fiber optic cassette designed for high-density network infrastructure. It terminates 12 fibers into a single MPO/MTP connector, simplifying cable management and maximizing port density in data center and enterprise environments. This cassette is engineered to support applications requiring high bandwidth and future-proofing, such as 40GbE, 100GbE, and beyond, leveraging the extended wavelength capabilities of OM5 fiber.
Compatibility
This cassette is compatible with Panduit's QuickNet™ fiber optic enclosures and patch panels, including the CFAP and CFAS series. It is designed to interface with standard MPO/MTP trunk cables and patch cords, supporting a wide range of network equipment from various manufacturers that utilize MPO/MTP connectivity for high-speed data transmission.
Installation Notes
Installation involves sliding the cassette into a compatible Panduit enclosure or panel. Ensure the enclosure is properly grounded. The MPO/MTP connector should be kept clean to prevent signal degradation. OM5 fiber supports a wider range of wavelengths (473-550 nm) compared to OM3/OM4, enabling Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) for higher bandwidth over fewer fibers.
