I'm Ted Perry, and while I normally focus on NVRs and storage, I've seen enough fire alarm panel integrations to know where the Potter MRS fits. This is a straightforward key-operated selector for switching between main and reserve signal banks in CO₂ suppression controls and multi-zone fire panels. The dual LED status indication matters more than you'd think—when you're testing a system at 2 AM or responding to an actual event, that visual confirmation of which bank is live eliminates guesswork.
One critical watch-out: the 1-amp @ 40 VDC contact rating handles standard low-voltage control signals, but if you're switching anything heavier—larger solenoid banks, multiple valve circuits—you'll need an auxiliary relay downstream. The Potter MRS is a control switch, not a power switch. Also confirm your panel's 24V supply can support the LED circuit, though at 10mA it's negligible. This is a solid piece for code-compliant fire suppression installs where manual bank selection and UL listing are required, not a retrofit for every alarm cabinet.
