Overview
The Posiflex CS640B is a single-unit docking station purpose-built for the MT6200 mobile computer series. It consolidates charging, data sync, and network connectivity into one compact unit — the standard way to manage multi-shift or multi-user deployments where devices rotate through a central station. The CS640B fits warehouses, retail operations, and field-service workflows where mobile computers are returned to base for overnight charging and data transfer.
Compatibility
The CS640B docks the Posiflex MT6200 series mobile computers only. Verify your device model against the MT6200 family before ordering — this dock is not backward-compatible with earlier MT series generations and will not accept other manufacturers' mobile units.
Connectivity and Power
The dock supplies power to the MT6200 battery during charging and provides three data/network ports: two USB 2.0 ports (useful for peripheral sync or secondary data offload), one Ethernet (LAN) port for network connectivity while docked, and one serial port for legacy enterprise systems or barcode-scanner tethering. The serial connection supports configurations where your WMS or inventory system expects RS-232 integration — increasingly rare but still present in mature warehouse deployments.
Single-dock architecture means one MT6200 device charges or syncs at a time. For multi-user shifts, plan dock count against device rotation cycle — a typical retail or warehouse floor running two shifts may require two or three docks to avoid queue delays during changeover.
