The CR3117L005 is a USB interface adapter that converts legacy printer-driven cash drawer control into modern USB connectivity for the Posiflex CR-3000 series. At 15.7" W × 16.3" D × 3.5" H, it mounts compactly near your point-of-sale terminal and drawer, eliminating serial cable dependency and simplifying POS-to-drawer integration. Deploy this when you're upgrading a checkout station from parallel/serial control to USB without replacing the drawer itself.

Designed specifically for Posiflex CR-3000 series cash drawers. Verify your drawer model belongs to the CR-3000 family before ordering. Supports any POS terminal, retail computer, or integrated system with a standard USB 1.1 port — Windows, Linux, and cross-platform drivers follow UPOS 1.8 specification compliance, so generic POS middleware (Toast, Lightspeed, Square, PayPal Here) and custom retail software can trigger drawer opens via USB without proprietary interfaces. Solenoid input accepts 12 VDC to 24 VDC @ 1 A for drawer actuation.
Installation Notes
Mount the interface unit on or adjacent to your cash drawer, minimizing USB cable run length to avoid signal degradation over long distances. Ensure stable, level placement — the 15.7" × 16.3" footprint requires adequate counter or cabinet space. Connect USB to your POS terminal and wire the solenoid lead to the drawer's 12–24 VDC input. A supplied AC adaptor (120 VAC ± 10% / 240 VAC ± 10%, 50–60 Hz) outputs 12 VAC @ 1.5 A to power the interface. Drawer open switch is integrated — no separate sensor required. The three-position key lock on the drawer itself provides manual security independent of the interface.
