Description

Middle Atlantic 896PCK-BRZ Poly Cover Conversion Kit — Bronze

Overview

The 896PCK-BRZ is a bronze-finish polycarbonate cover conversion kit designed for the Middle Atlantic 881-series raised floor box systems. When a floor box installation requires a finish swap or cover replacement — whether due to renovation, aesthetic coordination, or a damaged original cover — the 896PCK-BRZ delivers a factory-matched bronze replacement without pulling the entire box. At 5.5 in × 5.5 in with a 0.25 in profile height, it sits flush with the surrounding floor surface. TAA compliance makes it a valid procurement option for federal and government-contract installations that enforce Trade Agreements Act sourcing requirements.

Compatibility

Designed for the Middle Atlantic 881-series raised floor boxes, specifically the 896-RPCK Ratchet Pro platform and related 881-series communications or power cover plate configurations. Verify your existing floor box model number against the 896-series cover plate family before ordering — the 5.5 in square footprint and ratchet-latch interface are specific to this series and are not interchangeable with other Middle Atlantic floor box lines. Bronze finish coordinates with bronze-trim floor box hardware; confirm the installed box accepts the polycarbonate conversion kit variant versus the standard metal cover.

Installation Notes

The 0.25 in height profile is engineered for flush-mount integration with standard raised raised floor tile systems — any deviation in floor surface height can cause the cover to sit proud or recess below flush, so verify floor plane before fitting. No special tooling is specified in manufacturer documentation beyond standard installation of the parent 896-series box. TAA-compliant designation applies to the kit as shipped; do not substitute non-TAA components if the installation is subject to federal sourcing requirements.
