The Signamax EC30130 is a single-port PoE extender designed to overcome the distance limitations of standard Ethernet cabling. It allows you to deploy powered devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones up to 4000 feet (1200 meters) away from the PoE source, using standard Cat6 cable. This eliminates the need for intermediate switches or local AC power outlets at the device location, simplifying installation and reducing infrastructure costs. It's ideal for large facilities, outdoor deployments, or any scenario where running power to the endpoint is impractical.
This extender is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compliant PoE switch or injector. It supports delivering up to 57W of power to the connected powered device (PD), making it suitable for high-power devices. The extender itself draws power from the PoE source, requiring no separate power supply.
Connect the EC30130 between the PoE source (switch or injector) and the powered device using Cat6 or higher-grade Ethernet cable. Ensure the total cable length between the PoE source and the powered device does not exceed 4000 feet (1200 meters). The unit is designed for non-condensing environments.
