Overview

The International Connectors and Cable ICMPP48CP6 is a 48-port, 2U rackmount feed-thru patch panel designed for high-density network infrastructure. It simplifies cable management by allowing direct plug-and-play connections for Cat 6 cabling, eliminating the need for punch-down termination on the front side. This unit is ideal for data centers, enterprise networks, and AV installations where clean, organized, and easily accessible network terminations are critical. The feed-thru design ensures that each port on the front directly corresponds to a port on the rear, streamlining patch cord management and reducing installation time.

Compatibility

This patch panel is engineered for standard Cat 6 Ethernet cabling. It is compatible with any network switch, router, or server that utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet ports. The feed-thru design means it works seamlessly with any RJ45 connector on the rear side, regardless of the manufacturer, as long as it adheres to the TIA/EIA-568 standard for Cat 6 cabling. It is suitable for use in standard 19-inch rack systems common in IT and security environments.

Installation Notes

Mounting the ICMPP48CP6 into a standard 19-inch rack requires four rack screws and cage nuts (not included). Ensure adequate clearance in the rack for both front and rear cable connections. The feed-thru RJ45 connectors on the front require standard Ethernet patch cords. On the rear, you will connect your horizontal Cat 6 cabling directly into the rear-facing RJ45 ports. Proper cable management, including the use of cable ties and horizontal/vertical cable managers, is recommended to maintain airflow and prevent strain on connections.
