Paige Electric 710636PR CAT6 Plenum Cable, 1000ft
Overview
The Paige Electric 710636PR is a 1000-foot pull box of solid-copper CAT6 cable rated CMP (plenum) for installs where cable runs through air-handling spaces — above drop ceilings, in HVAC returns, or through plenum-rated risers where local code prohibits standard PVC-jacketed cable. The 23 AWG / 4-pair solid conductor construction supports full CAT6 channel performance for gigabit runs to IP cameras, access points, and network switches. The purple jacket color is a practical spec, not cosmetic: it lets you color-code this run against other cable categories or tenant circuits during multi-drop commissioning, so techs can trace and verify without pulling a tester on every segment.
Compatibility
710636PR terminates with standard CAT6-rated RJ-45 connectors, keystone jacks, and patch panels from any manufacturer supporting TIA/EIA-568 CAT6 termination — it is not tied to a proprietary connector system. Use it to home-run any PoE-powered IP camera, wireless access point, or network endpoint back to a switch or patch panel where the CAT6 channel needs plenum-rated jacketing for the full run.
Installation Notes
CMP jacket rating means this cable is rated for open installation in environmental air spaces without conduit, per NEC Article 800 — check local AHJ requirements before running non-plenum cable in the same space. Solid-conductor CAT6 (as opposed to stranded) is built for fixed in-wall or in-ceiling runs, not patch cords or applications with repeated flexing; terminate solid-core runs at a patch panel or keystone jack and use stranded patch cables for the short device-facing hop. At 31 lb per 1000ft box, plan handling accordingly when running vertical risers or pulling through tight ceiling grids.
