Overview

The Panduit FC29N-12-10U Opticom™ fiber cassette is designed for high-density fiber optic infrastructure. It terminates a 12-fiber MPO (Male) connector and breaks out to 6 duplex LC connectors, ideal for structured cabling deployments requiring efficient patching between backbone MPO trunk cables and LC-terminated equipment or patch panels. This cassette utilizes OS2 single-mode fiber with standard insertion loss, ensuring reliable signal transmission for data networks.

Compatibility

This cassette is designed for use within Panduit Opticom™ fiber enclosures and patch panels. It is compatible with standard OS2 single-mode fiber optic systems. The universal polarity method supports various network configurations. It is not designed for direct connection to network switches or cameras; it serves as an intermediate termination point within a structured cabling system.

Installation Notes

The cassette features a black housing with a black MPO connector and 6 blue LC adapters, facilitating clear identification. The MPO connector is male, requiring a female MPO connector on the incoming trunk cable. The use of ceramic zirconia ferrules on the LC adapters ensures precise alignment and durability. The cassette itself is designed to snap into compatible Panduit enclosures, simplifying installation and management.
